Hi f-list! If you've followed this journal lately, you've probably already noticed that I'm going crazy over Star Trek all over again. New Trek is awesome and completely made of love, and I'm trying to get my hands on Old Trek so I can have a big nostalgia fest. Star Trek was my first fandom, and the show I owe my interest in Sci-fi to.
However, when I first started watching ST, I was twelve, my English wasn't great, and I had no idea there was such a thing as fanfiction. (Which didn't stop me from writing it, of course.) So I missed the whole fanworks part of fandom, and now that I want to dive into the deep pool of Star Trek fanfic, I have no idea where to start.
So, trekkies on my f-list, what would you recommend? I like well-written, fun, twisty stories. I prefer the plots to be focused on friendship for this show, but wouldn't be opposed to good slash (preferably Kirk/McCoy). I want the characters to be in-character. I am (surprise, surprise) a big action/adventure, hurt/comfort lover, and I'm equally much in love with all the characters.
Help me, what are your favourite stories?

yay for the ST link--can't wait to check it out!
