It's been brought to my attention that there needs to be a masterlist for the Entagled Particles verse, and I must agree. Therefore, here is a tally of the stories that's been written so far, in the chronological order i which they're meant to take place. I have also added the contributions other people have made to the 'verse.

I can't even navigate my own tags anymore, so it's probably time to put together a little fic index. Here you go!

Word of Caution: Here there be stories about consenting adults in same-sex relationships. Sometimes, they even have sex with each other. If this scares you, go read something else. Also, if you're a member of my family and want to keep your illusions, you should probably also go somewhere else. Here, for example.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything related to Stargate:Atlantis, Torchwood or Supernatural. I'm just borrowing them to play with, and I will return them in roughly the same shape I found them.

I got stomach flu for Christmas. Yay me! At least it didn't hit until this morning so I got to eat julbord and drink glögg yesterday. Missed the turkey today though :(

I hope you're all having a great weekend, whether you celebrate Christmas or not!

The day before Christmas Eve, when all the gifts are wrapped and I'm done in the kitchen, I always order pizza and watch Die Hard. (The first one, where Bruce Willis still has hair.) My own little Christmas tradition :)

Keeping my fingers crossed that this will post...

Here is a little snippet for [livejournal.com profile] hildejohanne whose birthday it was yesterday. I hope you had a great day, hon! *hugs*

It's not often Danny gets the opportunity to watch Steve sleep like this. )

* I'm sorry for my absence the past month. I'm also sorry for being behind on answering comments and mails. Will get to that as soon as I can. Please let me know if I missed anything important!

* NaNoWriMo is over for this year. Now I'm sitting here with a monster of a first draft for a gay superhero-ish romance that is going to need a lot of editing but might possibly turn out to be readable in the end. (97.468 words in 26 days. I don't even know...)

* I have absolutely no idea what to write for [livejournal.com profile] hc_bigbang. SGA? H50? Avengers? Leverage? Suits? I'd love to write that story where Rodney keeps getting married (to other people than John) and John keeps waiting for him to get a clue. I'd also love to write that story where Danny has to go back to Jersey to tie up loose ends and there are many epic long distance calls. Or the one where Tony actually has to deal with his alcoholism before he's allowed to be an Avenger. Or the one where Harvey decides to testify against Denis Cameron after all and paints a big target on his own back. Or the one where Parker, Hardison and Eliot fight zombies. Or the one where Steve has to grieve for things that the rest of the world only knows as ancient history. Or the one where Atlantis falls and the survivors are trapped in the Pegasus galaxy on a Traveller ship. Or the one where the reason for why Danny has been such an ass this season is because he's trying to deal with losing the baby that turned out not to be his. Or the one where... well, you get the idea. (BTW, I'm very flattered that people keep asking, but I'm not writing Entangled Particles 'verse for this challenge. I feel like I've already tortured them enough...)

In general, it's a good idea to finish a story before you start planning a new one.

Oh, who am I kidding. [livejournal.com profile] hc_bigbang, here I come! I have no idea what to write, but it'll probably be H50 or SGA, unless I decide to try my hand at some Avengers goodness.

The signups don't close until November 30:th, by the way. Does anyone want to play with me? Come on, 20K of lovely whump! You know you want to do it!

Gonna go write some porn now. Ktnxbai.

Title: Shroedinger's Cat Had It Easy
Author: Zinnith
Wordcount: ~2200
Rating: PG-13

Notes: It seems like the thing to do after writing over 52K in 12 days is to write even more. Seriously, I take absolutely no responibility for this thing. It's all Baty's fault.

(Yes, this is crack, obviously.)

Summary: Rodney comes home, drops his briefcase to the floor, falls back against the door, and starts to hyperventilate, chanting, “What have I done, what have I done,” under his breath. Rodney signs up for NaNoWriMo. Hilarity ensues.

So, I officially won NaNo today. *whistles innocently* Now I just have to finish the story.

But I'm not going to bore you with that. I'll bore you with a meme instead:

If I made Cinderella, the audience would immediately
be looking for a body in the coach. —Alfred Hitchcock

When I write a story, what do readers immediately look for?

I'm only resurfacing from the craziness that is NaNoWriMo (36K as of yesterday!) to share this:

Photobucket

A yarn store on New Zealand sent out a call for help from knitters all over the world - to knit sweaters for the penguins who were affected by the oil spill. The sweaters serve a dual purpose - to keep the penguins warm until they're well enough to be cleaned, and to prevent them from ingesting the oil on their feathers. The response was overwhelming!

It's that time of the year again and I'm not going to clog up your f-lists with my ramblings about the NaNovel. Novelling talk can be found at [livejournal.com profile] zinnith_nano during November.

- Thank you [livejournal.com profile] tarlanx for the blue spider! Happy Halloween!

- We had our first autumn concert last night and it went surprisingly well considering it was a Friday evening, the entire choir was exhausted, and we sang in an unfamiliar church with slightly weird acoustics. The second concert is on Sunday and will hopefully be even better.

- Today, I'm heading up to Leksand and the NaNoWriMo kick-off. BIG YAY! There's a fair amount of WriMos a little closer to home this year and it's good not to have to go to Stockholm to participate in events and write-ins. Not that I don't like the WriMos from the royal capital, but train travel is extremely expensive these days and the city itself makes me stressed out and unhappy. So today, I'm going to a tiny Dalecarlian town I haven't visited in ten years to meet a group of very nice people in their library. DOUBLE BIG YAY!

Speaking of NaNo - what would you rather read? A superhero coming-of-age story or a superhero/ex-supervillain gay romance? As usual, I have two plot ideas for November and I just can't decide.

Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] bluespirit_star! I hope you're having a wonderful day :D Here is a little Entangled Particles ficlet for you:

I seem to have had a birthday this year too. Thank you everyone for the well-wishes and thank you [livejournal.com profile] hildejohanne for the cute v-gift! I also got a couple of beautiful stories:

[livejournal.com profile] bluespirit_star wrote Security Blanket, an awwww-inducing H50 snuggle ficlet.

[livejournal.com profile] sgamadison wrote The Best Gift of All, a birthday story set in her lovely Cabin series.

Thank you so much everyone! You really made my day :D

I've been insanely busy lately. My choir is having the annual autumn concert this weekend and there's been a lot of extra practices, plus I managed to get roped into helping to plan next year's spring concert so I've had extra meetings on top of everything. I almost had to admit defeat and go buy a cake for work last Friday and I haven't bought a birthday cake since... I actually don't think I've ever had a store-bought cake. However, I somehow found the time to bake - lemon-lime pie instead of cake, but it was delicious and my co-workers liked it.

My family came over for dinner on Saturday and I fed them salmon with blue cheese sauce and more pie. I got the latest Pratchett from Mum and a new coffee maker from dad (my old one broke two weeks ago and since I've mostly switched to tea anyway, I had put off getting a new one, but dad was worried he won't get any coffee when he comes to visit...) My sister got me a set of cheap wineglasses that I can break with a good conscience. She knows me so well. Best of all - Mum promised to pay for my dentist appointment next week! I'm having a new crown put in and I've actually been more panicked about the cost than the actual procedure. I might be able to afford to eat this month after all!

November is getting closer and I still have a lot of NaNo plotting to do. I seem to be having the same problem as always - my group of protagonists are fine and fleshed out, but I have no idea who my villains are. Ah, well. There's still another week to go so with a little luck I should have it figured out until then.

So, what's going on with you?
zinnith: (Default)

ETA: There are more of them! Thor and Iron Man!
zinnith: (plotbunny)
I think I just found this year's NaNo characters. Now I just need a plot to go with them. It's probably going to be an extremely silly story about superheroes who aren't really superheroes. I might be able to work in a couple of zombies too.

So, anyone else doing NaNoWriMo this year?
