I think I'm dropping out of Merlin Big Bang. Gah! I wanted to finish this thing but, well, fanfic is my hobby and hobbies should be fun and rewarding and this story just...isn't. When you feel like you'd rather de-worm the cat without protective clothing every time you sit down to work on a story, you know it's time to stop and concentrate on something else. Maybe if I give it a rest, it'll sort itself out, but not in time for the deadline.

Excuse me while I go hide in shame. (And possibly start research for SGABB. That will be one fun story to write!)

Well, but you're right--the story should be fun and it should be something you *want* to write. I don't think quitting is failing--I think it would be worse to force yourself to work on something you hated. :-)

Yeah, creativity is not a light switch. If it's not there, hitting that switch repeatedly won't make it appear. So dropping out is a good thing.

Hope you enjoyed Star Trek. :)

I'm sorry to hear that from a selfish POV as I'd have loved to have read it, but I do think you're doing the right thing. There is no point in killing yourself over it and yay for you researching SGABB!! cep xxx

It might be karmically wrong of me but since I don't care for Merlin I have to say Yeah! for SGABB!! Their loss is our gain. *g*
