I don't know why, but I haven't watched *any* Olympics this year, and normally I'm such an Olympics fan that I'll stay up til 4 in the morning to watch *Ping Pong*, for crying out loud! I know I've missed some spectacular moments (especially, I'm told in swimmming) but I can't muster the desire to watch. Not even the *show jumping*, which was on last night.
Funny, I'm reading this over and wondering which state of mind makes me the more abnormal...:-)
Actually, I'm not usually interested at all! But the people I work with are all such Olympics freaks that we keep both the TV and the radio on all the time, so I can't help to get caught up in it... I don't know if it's a good thing or not - watching sports is very bad for my nerves.
Oh man, I'm one of those people who get distracted by the flicker of moment out of the corner of my eye--so my eye is automatically drawn to a TV in the room whether or not I want to watch it. My friends know not to seat me at a table facing the TV in the corner at a bar or restaurant because I will keep zoning out. I'd never get any work done if the Olympics were on at work! :-0
