Um. So. I'm beginning to feel almost human again. I spent most of the day cleaning so I'm beat, but in the good 'Hey, I got something done today' way and not the bad 'Whiiiine, I'm so tired I can't be arsed to do it' way.

I am also writing porn. Porn makes me happy. Strawberries also makes me happy and I have two boxes, which I will munch on tonight while watching SPN. The strawberries, not the boxes. Because munching on boxes would be dry and not so yummy.


It's been a while since I went back to season 1, but this week I dug up my DVD:s again and I think I'm falling in love with my boys all over again! There's emo-puppy Sam with his hoodies and his ugly season 1 hair and his adorable little brother-ness, and there's cocky non-angsty Dean who's still alive, and they're playing pranks on each other and despite everything, they're relatively care-free. *wants to huggle boys* The only bad thing is the lack of Bobby and Ellen.

Oh, and Missouri! I miss Missouri! She needs to come back to the show. It is also my firm belief that Sam needs to glue beerbottles to Deans hand more often, and Dean should try to get Sam laid more, and they should just drive around in the Impala and listen to awesome music and never never stop. *is still in denial over season final*

As for the whole big 'OMG Dean is such a misogynist and everyone who likes him are stupid!' -wank, I let my feminist side and my Dean-loving side discuss it for a while, and then I read the wise words of kroki_refur, and decided not to care. Show isn't perfect. Being pissed because it's not perfect is just a waste of my time.

So enlighten me--why should I watch Supernatural? (Keep in mind I have to buy TV episodes or wait for a season to be available on DVD. Currently the only shows I buy are SGA and Torchwood.) I used to watch BSG, but they really pissed me off by splitting season 2 in half and making me pay twice as much for it. (Plus it began to stress me out with its unrelenting grimness).

And what else would you recommend? And why? Hmmmn, maybe I should just open that question with a post of my own to LJ at large...

Why should you watch Supernatural - let me make a list:

1.Dean's freckles. Why yes, I am shallow.
2.The infinite brotherness of Sam n' Dean and how much they love each other.
3. Dean's dorkiness.
4.The music! Who cannot love a show where the soundtrack is classic rock and metal? Or it could just be that I've apparently inherited my father's taste in music.
5. Dean's forearms.
6. '67 Chevrolet Impala.
7. Dean's voice.
8. Two words: Killer. Clown.
9. Dean's... do you see a pattern here?
10. The awful awfulness of the various motel rooms the boys are staying in.
11. Because it's a cheesy horror show, pretty much the same way SGA is a cheesy sci-fi show, and it's not without flaws. But I still love it with all my heart! Also, there is Dean.

I'm a little scared of the fandom, because most of it is Wincest and that squicks me, so SPN is my lurker show ;)

I have the first and half of the second season on DVD if you'd like to borrow them! They're region 2 though, so I don't know if they'll work for you...

Hmm...what else would I recommend? Have you seen Doctor Who?
