1. THEY CUT OUT LORNE'S LIVER!!!!
And yeah, I did a double take when I saw Kavan Smith on SPN. Like, 'Hey, am I watching the right show?'
2. Sam is so, so desperate. And also scaring me quite a lot. I have a feeling that pre-Mystery Spot Sam wouldn't have considered turning his brother into a Frankenstein's Monster-like thingy who has to kill people for spare parts a good idea. Sam, can you go back to being whiney and emo and innocent please? I think I preferred you that way.
3. Dean Winchester is a very pretty man. Just sayin'.
4. I need a SPN icon.
5. I love Sam trying to gross Dean out while he's eating! Also, Sam talking about fecal matter reminded me of the lecture I attended to in my first year of the Environmental Science program. It was about plumbing and the lack thereof in the Third World and was affectionately nicknamed 'The Poop Lecture' because the lecturer kept blushing every time she had to use the word 'feces'. Yes, I am secretly twelve.
6. Bye Bela, I hope we won't have to see you again. You're freaking annoying. Even if you do have a Big Tragic Backstory. Yawn.
7. I'm afraid there's going to be a huge honking cliffhanger at the end of the season. Please, show, don't let Dean spend the summer in Hell.
On a completely different note. Do you have any suggestions which shows I should watch during the summer? I need something to occupy me until SGA, Torchwood and SPN returns. As you know, I'm a huge fan of Sci-Fi and Action/Mystery shows with quirky characters and snarky banter, and I'd also like something that doesn't break my freaking heart every week. And please, don't say Battlestar Galactica. I'm sure it's good, but I manage to fall asleep every time I try to watch it.

Date: 2008-05-09 10:42 pm (UTC)As for the old and cheesy - my first sci-fi love was Star Trek. I was twelve and had a huge crush on Spock, and actually wrote Star Trek fanfiction before I knew there was such a thing as fanfic...
I could probably watch Women's Murder Club just for Joe... and I think I've seen a few eps of The Closer but I tend to get my cop shows all mixed up so I might have confused it with something else. Then there's NCIS of course - my guilty pleasure *blushes*
I completely agree about the huge emotional scenes. 'No chick-flick moments', to quote the almighty Dean Winchester ;)

Date: 2008-05-09 11:00 pm (UTC)I used to write Star Trek fiction too! When I found out that some of the best of ST fanfic was published as Star Trek: The New Voyages, I was beside myself with glee (and going back and reading some of them again now after all these years, some were decidedly pre-slashy!) More recently the ST franchise has been holding contests to select stories written by unpublished authors and there must be at least 6 books in that series thus far. (I actually submitted one the first year it came out and was so stunned by the quality of the winning works that I never dared again).
I just admit, I started watching WMC in anticipation of seeing Joe and then began enjoying the show for itself! The Closer stars Kyra Sedwick and she plays a Southern woman transplanted to LA, who is fantastic at her job but incredibly inept in her personal life (which is strange, because reading and manipulating suspects is her forte). I used to watch NCIS, but I was bummed when they killed off a character and didn't warm up to Ziva as a result.
Chick-flick moments. *Shudders*

Date: 2008-05-10 11:14 am (UTC)It took me me a while to get used to Ziva, but now I love her. I watch the show mostly for McGee and Abby though. I have a soft spot for cute geeks...
