1.
winter_elf wanted: pics of any pets.

Well, here he is, my beloved stupid!cat. This picture is from last year, because he lives with my parents now. I really miss him. *sniff*

Empty space where kitty should be. (Yes, my window really is that dirty. There's no use cleaning it until they've swept the streets.)
2.
the_cephalopod wanted me to: take a picture of something that makes you smile.
My first thought was this:

Because 'Halling's Hairboutique' gives me ideas for AU crack!fic in which Halling is a hairdresser. John goes to him every week because he's the only one who can handle John's cowlicks. And the seat beside him is usually occupied by this slightly pudgy balding guy who keeps arguing loudly with his physics journals in a strangely hot manner...
When I was on my way to snap this picture I realised just how much I love my city! So I just had to go on a big happy-making photo spree... These are pictures from the old industrial landscape that now hosts the University and a few museums. I never get tired of walking around here, looking at all the beautiful old buildings.

This is the building where I went to school. It used to be a spinnery back when Norrköping all about the textile industry.

I went through one of the parks. Look, spring is finally here! I brought out my spring jacket earlier this week, so if it starts snowing again you know who to blame.

Only in Norrköping do people decorate their houses with butts and disguise them as pears. You can't fool me, you perverts! (I kind of want to live in that house...)

This is the only record store in the country I'm not afraid of. I have a serious phobia for record stores - every time I visit one it feels like everyone's staring at me and judging me for my taste in music (I'm weird that way). But this place is awesome, and the owner never looks at me funny when I ask about old obscure punk bands.

When I got to the railway station, my knee was aching and I decided to take the tram home. Norrköping and Gothenburg are the only Swedish cities that still have trams (well, Stockholm has the subway but that doesn't count...) Our trams i Norrköping are yellow and very smile-inducing, even if I only managed to catch one of the newer uglier models.
And now I'm going to make myself some coffee and watch Doctor Who. I hope you're all having a great Sunday!

Date: 2008-04-20 02:00 pm (UTC)I love it!! That would definitely make me smile too... has done so even! *g*
There would be so much snark, and Halling would be the matchmaking yenta who makes the boys realise their big gay love for each other! Damn, I kind of want to write that AU now...
This has been the first sunny day in ages so I'm just soaking it up! I hope the weather in Dublin gets better, otherwise I'm sending some virtual rays your way! *hugs*
