I know what you mean about Owen, but I knew on some level that it would be just a matter of time before he died for real - although it didn't make it any easier when it happened. The death of Tosh really shocked me, and especially by how emotional it was.

At the end of the episode actually, I began to wonder whether John would become a season 3 regular - which could lead to some more Jack/Ianto moments...;)

I know, if there was someone who didn't deserve to die it was Tosh!

I'm not sure I want Captain John to be a regular.... He's okay in small doses but I don't think I could stand him full time.
