I know!! I was so not expecting their deaths! I thought both actors did absolutely brilliantly, for the whole of this season, but most especially in this final episode. Owen going mad when he's locked in the nuclear power plant and Tosh brokenly saying "you're breaking my heart" was utterly perfect. The final scenes with Jack, Ianto, & Gwen all trying to find the strength to keep moving forward were fantastic too. In fact, the whole episode was a wonderful mix of action and emotion. The Jack/John scenes sparkled & I loved Ianto being all angry at John for taking Jack.
I thought the whole of this season has been wonderful. So much better than season 1 both in terms of plot and character development. I can't wait for season 3!
I love Torchwood so much! I can't think of any other show that could've handled their deaths better. I never saw it coming! I was just so ridiculously happy that Ianto survived and then they had to throw that at me!!! And she never told him she was dying too!
Yup, still a little incoherent. I'm going to have to write something, I think.
All I need now is for Supernatural to send Dean to hell in the season finale...

The whole episode was handled pretty much perfectly. Whatever will happen next?!

Yay!

Is it normal to mourn fictional characters this much?
