A Day of Fannish Love

I just took this thing. Damn, it's hard to come up with just a few favourite stories and authors. I was, however filled with very much love for fandom and the people in it. All my current fandoms (Stargate Atlantis, Supernatural and Torchwood) bring me so much joy!

Just a few things I love:

* I love that I don't have to explain my nerdy interests because everyone already understands.

* I love that people are nice to each other. I love that it's possible to have a civil discussion where people respect each other's opinion even if they don't agree.

* I love that the quality of writing is so high. I love that no matter if I'm in the mood for crack, schmoop, angst, hurt/comfort, porn or romance, I can always find the perfect story.  I love all the writers who take my favourite shows and turn them into so much more.

* I love the feedback I get on my stories. I love my betas and I love everyone who takes the time to leave a comment. Hell, I love everyone who takes the time to read my stuff.

* I love that fandom has given me so many dear friends I never would have met otherwise.

* I love that I can just say 'I'm depressed, please give me hugs', and people do. Thank you mesmorizee, lavvyan, the_cephalopod and keefaq for cheering me up!

* I love the actors, the writers, the directors and the creators of my shows. I love that they care about their fans. I love that they share details of their lives with us. I love that they don't put up a fuss about fannish creativity. I love that they have made all this possible by creating the characters and the shows we all enjoy so much. Without them, there would be no fandom to begin with.
