It's been raining almost constantly for like two weeks, the people who rule my country are mean to poor people, work is made of drama and gossip at the moment, various people and institutions are asking me for money I don't have, and now my show made me cry, so I'm feeling kinda down.
Know what would make it better? Hugs! Lots and lots of hugs. Preferably involving Rodney in some way, but John!hugs and Ronon!hugs and Teyla!hugs are great too. Aw, who am I kidding, I want everone to get hugs. It doesn't even have to be Stargate hugs, as long as there are hugs!
Please help me not to have to break out the antidepressants again. I can't write when I'm on meds, so everbody wins, really...

I will begin.” He held his arms out to Teyla, who stood up and hugged him for a moment. “We invite each of you to choose a partner and enjoy our custom,” the chief said.
Rodney looked to the woman on his left and then to the one on his right, trying to make up his mind. This was the kind of custom he could get behind. But just then he caught a flash of black off near the other end of the table and saw John standing, trying to make his face look mocking but just looking uncomfortable. As much as Rodney wanted to hug the pretty ladies, he knew Sheppard well enough to know he didn’t want to hug anyone. Rodney sighed, gave his dinner companions a last, regretful look and stood up.
A couple of steps took him to the other end of the table and he made as if to brush past John. “These ridiculous customs,” he said, “I’m just going to head back…”
“Rodney,” John interrupted. “We can’t offend the nice people,” and then John was hugging him and murmuring in his ear, “See, it’s not that big a deal. You’ve got to loosen up a little, Rodney.”
He would have snorted at John trying to reassure him as if he was the uncomfortable one except the murmuring was making him shiver, so he concentrated on hugging back. “Yes, fine,” he said, without any smugness at all. He wondered when watching over John had become so important to him that he was willing to pass up his chances with the local women.
