Parents have gone home, time to watch show!

I'm not usually a het-shipper but Teyla/Lorne FTW! They're the same size! They both have cute eyebrows! They go on market-place dates! (Ok, not really, but admit they are cute as a couple of buttons together.) And then the bad Wraith came and took Lorne's girlfriend away and now he's all sad and feeling guilty. Poor Lorne needs a hug. He's also a tiny tiny little Major and I love him for it.

Stuff I liked:

- Rodney eating. Rodney giving Teyla gifts. Rodney wielding big guns. Rodney and the kids. Rodney's hair trying to copy John's. Rodney sanitising his hands.  Can you detect a pattern here?

- Teyla being gorgeous and kicking ass as usual. Hmmm.... I kinda want to marry both Teyla and Lorne. Do you think they would be up to a threesome with a fat Swedish nerd?

- Todd. Todd rules.  Although not in the 'want to have a threesome with' -way 'cause Wraith-sex? Ewww... I just have the urge to braid pastel pink beads into his cute little goatee.

Stuff I have Opinions about:

- Okay, I love Carson. You know I love Carson. But he died, and I was sad, and I was just beginning to get over his death, and now they're throwing him in again.  This bugs me. A lot. As a writer, my number one rule is: when you kill someone off, they should stay dead. When you keep bringing characters back to life over and over again, you take away all the meaning of the concept of death.  For every time it happens, you'll be less likely to believe that death is something final, and in the end you'll sit in front of the TV (or in my case, computer screen) thinking 'Oh, they killed my favourite character. Big deal, they'll bring him back again. Yawn.' Death is not something that should be taken lightly, and I don't want to lose the emotional impact of it.

RepliCarson I can buy. I can even buy Clone!Carson. But please, show, don't try to sell me 'Haha, got you, I'm not dead after all!' or 'Ta-dah, I ascended and then descended again!'  'Cause I'm not buying that.

(And as always, my reaction is completely based on how this will affect Rodney. Carson's death broke him bad, and I don't want him broken all over again. Be nice to Rodney, show!)

- Also, can Teyla's baby be a normal baby please? I know it's a sci-fi show and when people in sci-fi shows have babies, the babies are either Evil, or The Chosen One, or they're abducted at birth so their parents get something to angst about. But I really really want a normal baby. Not a Wraithy baby, not a Replicatory baby, not a baby that Michael Has Plans For. Please?

(Okay. One more thing I could buy. Zombie!Carson. But only if he was evil Zombie!Carson and wanted to eat people's brainssss.)

On a completely different note, I've found myself getting caught up in three-year-old feminist wank. And I've been reading Wincest *hangs head in shame*. I swear, LJ has broken my brain.
