Fic for Books

I firmly believe that children should read and that their schools and teachers should support and encourage them to read. Unfortunately not all schools have the means to get books for their students even though the teachers have the will. ashley is one of those teachers and now she's set up a project called fics4books. Buy a book for her class and get a fic in return! 

I have signed up to sell myself for this very good cause, so if you want your very own zinfic all you have to do is buy books for kids who desperately need them!

Yay for EP ficlets!! How are things treating you otherwise? I'm really struggling with fleece!fic - I think I need to sit down tonight and just not do anything else until it's done... I can worry about whether it's any good or not on the re-read... What were we doing giving this comm a deadline of the 23rd?? To make matters worse McSmooch has opened again and I'm off home for Christmas on the 22nd and so will be internet-less 'til the 4th Jan... Ahhhhhhhhh!! I think I have a nice wintery idea for you :-) Have to finish the fleece!fic first though, but I'm almost done. It apparently takes a severe concussion and a bad case of hypothermia to make my John talk, and when he does he only says stupid things that makes Rodney angry. I think my boys need couples therapy.
What's the problem with your fleece!fic? Are they not behaving the way they should? Maybe the nice mods can give you an extension. They're the almighty rulers so they can do that...
I saw about mcsmooch! And I have absolutely no ideas for kisses...
There are... internet cafes? Libraries? Mobile broadband?

Absolutely no rush at all! If you want to put the words towards your next longer EP story (ie Hawk finding out about J&R) I'd be really happy with that too!!
Ugh! I know the all powerful mods would probably grant me an extension... but I just want to finish it!! That's my plan for tonight - no sleep 'til its done (work tomorrow, you say? what is this work of which you speak, I scoff! Surely I do not need to be awake for such as that!) I don't know what the problem is.... I have my storyline all sorted out... have managed to get the boys kissing... and now find myself completely unable to either get them to have sex or, failing that, finish the actual plot. Ugh! I think I will write the end - your idea worked for me last time, so I have every confidence that it will work again.... Hmmm, can I give you progress updates?
As for kisses --- I had an idea last night to do a sequel to my ficlet Worth the Risk from Rodney's POV... But NO!! Must finish fleece first!!!

I'm more or less finished actually! I just have to think up some suitably scathing insults for Rodney... I'm not anywhere close to your wordcount though, my story will probably end up somewhere between 4000-4500 words. I'm just hoping most of them are good words...

Progress reports are excellent - that's how I survived NaNo! That and my 15 minutes freewriting spurts. (That's another tip by the way; when I'm hopelessly stuck I set my timer at 15 minutes and just write everything that pops into my brain. Sometimes the result can be surprisingly good!)

My Rodney seems to be hiding somewhere when he's supposed to be making up with John! Silly boys...

Friendship is perfect. To be truthful, I prefer friendship fics, they are more believable.
