I don't really have to say it, do I? Ah, well. Just in case someone missed it the twelve thousand times I said it before: I love my show!

Oh, team! Oh, boys!  You're determined to make me cry every single week, aren't you? Those last scenes with Rodney and Radek, and Rodney and John.... *sniffles* I just want to give them all hugs and feed them hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls.

Dear writers,
Can you please give them a break and give us an episode where they're all just hanging around and enjoying themselves? Preferably with some McShep subtext.  Also, real!Rodney needs some sleep. Let John take him to bed.
Thank you!
Zin

So, now we know what happened to Elizabeth. May I say that I hope she won't be resurrected again? Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against Elizabeth (not that I particularly love her either, my feelings for her are pretty much just 'meh') but I do have issues with characters who come back from the dead again and again and again. *coughdanieljacksoncough* It takes away from the emotional impact of a character death when you've been taught to think that death isn't permanent. I feel this episode gave closure to the whole 'missing Weir' thing, and I for one am perfectly happy to let her rest in peace.

A couple of highlights:
-Ronon & his duplicate. You can just imagine what's going on inside their heads...
-Duplicate!Rodney sleeping in the jumper. Rodney should sleep more! He's so cute when he's asleep!
-Rodney & his duplicate. Oh my god, there's two of them! I don't know if I should be elated or afraid...

So..... that was Sam's vision, right?

TEYLA YOU NEED TO TELL THE BOYS ABOUT YOUR BABY!

In other news. I've re-discovered my love of knitting, which comes in pretty handy now that Christmas is approaching and I'm so broke it's not even funny. I haven't knitted anything in ages, but now that stupid!cat is staying with my parents, I can actually have yarn lying around without finding it draped all over my living room. It's a good thing that my sisters are so old now that they might appreciate crafty homemade gifts. My brother, I'm not so sure about...

Weir

Here's what I hope: I hope that RepliKeller was lying when she said Weir is dead. I hope the real Weir shows up in Season 5 alive and saveable. Because to kill her offscreen like that totally sucks and is totally pointless and stupid, my idea of a recurring character is for the character to actually recur throughout the show's existance instead of recurring two or three times and then disappearing forever, and RepliKeller could have lied to keep the real Atlantis crew from trying to rescue the real Weir, since RepliKeller knew that RepliWeir and the others originally thought they were the real crew in the beginning and she might have figured on one of them alerting the real Atlantis at some point.

Hello there, anonymous person :-)
Well, I can certainly see how Weir-fans are dissatisfied with the episode. I'd probably be upset too if she were one of my favourites.

However, I don't want her to come back. Not because I particularly dislike the character, but because (and I say this as a writer) from a storytelling point of view, killing off characters and then bringing them back is very very lame. I would be disappointed if Carson came back to life too, for the very same reason, even though I love Carson and still miss him like crazy.

I suppose RepliKeller could have lied, but I think her explanation made sense. Weir would've been too much of a security risk to the Replicators. If I were them, I'd get as much intel as possible from Weir and then eliminate that risk.

But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I hope we can agree on that at least :-)

Hello!

What are you knitting? How is John's concussion? Tell me to stop surfing and go write... :)

That's right, two Rodneys! Every kink-writer in the fandom is going to have a blast. And I'm absolutely not looking forward to that... *whistles innocently*
I'm knitting pulse warmers for my entire family, except for my oldest little sister who will get a steering wheel warmer for her car.
John is now concussed and hypothermic. And still stuck in the damn crevasse...

Now stop surfing and go write! *cracks whip* Hmmm.... I should probably do that as well.

Oh, 2 Rodneys.... *drifts off*
Also, love your reaction to EW - I think 'meh' summers her up very well!
Your present ideas sound lovely - I'm sure your sisters will appreciate the effort! I'm still considering what to get my sister - I bought her the box set of Sex & the City last year (a combined b'day & Xmas present) much to her delight (and her boyfriend's disgust), so I don't think I'll be able to top that...

*cracks whip*
Eek! I'd better go write... So far Rodney is cold - that's about all I got... *sighs* Yes, yes I know, it's not going to write itself... So I'd better go get John to warm him up... somehow I don't think his fleece, lovely though it may be, is going to be sufficient...

Siblings are so hard to find good gifts for. Especially teenage brothers whose only interests are computer games. Maybe I can knit him a... mousepad?

A cold Rodney and a John to warm him up sounds like a good start to me :-) Other things that are good for warming people up (besides fleeces of course): jacuzzis, hot peppermint tea and those wheat bags you put in the microwave. Speakin of which, I think I'm gonna go heat mine. Back is ouch-y today.

Oh, I *love* those bags - I've got one, but it's filled with cherry stones rather than wheat... so it smells yummy as well as being lovely and warm! Hope your back feels better once it's all warmed up!

They are awesome! I'm definitely going to knit me one of those!
(Unfortunately, my dear brother isn't much of a Dr Who-fan. I'm the only sci-fi freak in the family... I'm thinking about something WoW-themed for him.)

I don't knit so I be make things out of card board and paper mache. Or cake. Actually I combined both when I made a friend a Quake 3 themed birthday cake years ago. It had a cardboard crate (a feature of the game) with a cardboard plasma rifle on the top that rotated like they do in the game before you collect them. I used the inner workings of a musical jewellery box that had a rotating ballerina. I think every girl in the UK had one at some point. I did remove the musical bit as the plinky music would have spoiled the moment :-)

Me too, almost. I don't knit. Someone sent me the link. The same person sent me this too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUpyFcK5Ea4 Very unsettling knitting. The tiger's funny, the cat not so much.

Um... that looks like something I could have done if I had been a better knitter. (Except for the poor little kitty of course.) Ah, well. I think we've already established the fact that I am a deeply disturbed individual.

They both need lots and lots of hugs. How are we going to survive without new eps for a month?

Yay for story! I *finally* got John out of the crevasse. Now the cuddling can begin...
