Normally, I'm not a big fan of Christmas (too much stress, too little money, loved ones spread all over the country...) but

bluespirit_star posted a lovely manip and ficlet that got me in a nice Christmas-y mood, and I've seen this wishlist meme all over the place so...

Step One
Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Hanukkah/Christmas/solstice is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ or blog so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
Surf around your friendslist, or your friendsfriendslist, or just random journals to see who has posted their list.
Here's the important step: If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true.
Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy.
Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My Wishlist
1 - A job.
2 - A custom theme for my lj, preferably something coffee-coloured and McShep-ish.
3 - A pair of MBT-shoes for my knees and back. (Everyone I've asked says they're amazing. But so expensive!)
4 - Depression-preventative stuff like kittens, hugs, orchids and good chocolate. Or just your best tips for keeping the moodswings under control.
5 - McShep porn, preferably something to satisfy my tied up!John kink...
6 - McShep art. I would love something from the Entangled Particles -verse. As inspiration for the next story. *hints*
7 - Sam/Teyla stories.
8 - Christmas/Holiday songs from all over the world.
9 - A massage therapist for my back and shoulders. Hm... maybe I should just wish for a new back? And new knees and ankles and wrists and...
10 - Peace on earth. What? I've wished for that every year since I was four, I'm not gonna quit now!

ETA: I'm in the process of giving the f-list an overhaul. A lot of people have friended me lately and I haven't had the time to look all of you up yet. Again, please don't be offended if I don't friend you. I'm trying to keep my reading list manageable so I mostly tend to friend people I know, people with fannish journals and people whose journals I take a personal interest in. I have no friends-locked entries so you're not missing anything, but if you really really want me to friend you for some reason, give me a shout.
