Not quite a Stupid Customer of the Day, but pretty funny anyway...

A salesperson called one of our clients yesterday and asked for Mr Batman. It's a good thing it was my non-nerdy co-worker who took the call and not me!

The big mystery is where they got the name from? No-one in our client's company has a name that sound even remotely like 'Batman'. We have come to the conclusion that the client has a big secret and possibly a huge cave somewhere.

I start my first vacation week today so no more stupid customers for a while. Yay!

I will do absolutely nothing at all except write and sit in the sun! (And possibly at least start thinking about starting to run again...)

Actually, it's a very good thing I didn't take the call, because there is a Robin working at that company and I wouldn't have been able to keep my mouth shut *g*

Thank you, I will!

I once had a client call asking for a mangled mash of two different last names in the clinic. It was challenging trying to determine which person they were actually looking for! I was also introduced once to a large body of people where the only thing the announcer got right was the consonants in my name!

But tell me, what is this 'vacation' of whence you speak? :-)

In her defense, it was one of those telemarketers who sit in some huge callcenter in India and read their spiel off of a script, so it probably wasn't her fault that she got the name wrong. Still, we got a laugh out of it .)

Vacation is traditionally a time for people to be lazy, sit in the sun and go on trips. For me, it apparently means burning my boobs in the sun (oww) and getting caught out in the worst thunderstorm of the year. I think I need to work a little bit on this...

Oddly enough, your vacations sound familiar! ;-)

I'm planning one myself at the end of the summer. I had to cancel last year, so I'm really hoping I can go this time!

I hope you get to go this year and have a lot of fun! *crosses fingers*

I had plans to go to Stockholm and meet some friends and go to a few concerts this week, but they fell through, so I think I'm going to try to shake this cough and catch up on sleep instead. I have another two weeks off later in the summer so hopefully I'll get to have some fun then :)

Sometimes the *best* vacations are the ones in which you do nothing in particular--except exactly what you want to do!
