I made food!
Nov. 10th, 2007 05:05 pmSince I don't have anyone to cook for at the moment, I thought I'd share some recipes instead. Or...well, semi-recipes. I don't use any measurements when I cook, I just pour stuff in until it looks and tastes good. But today, I did a little experimenting and the result was pretty good, so I give you:
Stuff you need
- Rice
- Quorn in chunks (can be exchanged for grilled chicken or ham)
- Chanterelles (can be exchanged for other mushrooms)
- Low-fat cream (or just ordinary cream if you're lucky enough not to have to worry about your weight)
- Cheese
Do like this
- Boil the rice and pour it into a casserole dish that can be used in the oven.
- Spread the quorn chunks on top of the rice
- Put the mushrooms in a pan with a little butter. Sprinkle flour on top and let it get squishy on low heat. Pour the cream over and let it stew until you have a nice sauce. Put in some salt, pepper and herbs de provence or whatever spices you like.
- Pour the sauce on top of the quorn and the rice.
- Spread grated cheese on top and put the dish in the oven until the cheese is bubbly and yummy-coloured.
- Serve with the vegetables of your choice.
No, I have no idea how to translate a recipe. Just ask if there's something you don't understand.
