The Break-Even Point by faye_dartmouth. I don't usually read crossovers, but this one sucked me in from the first paragraph. It's Ocean's 11 and pre-H50 and the story of how Turk Malloy became Danny Williams and it works even though it shouldn't.

Tell the truth (but tell it slant) by moogsthewriter. A sequel to the first story, in which Danny has to be Turk again for a little while to fix the problem with the missing money.

Question - if you've never seen anything after the first Ocean's movie (which number WAS that?), and that only once, many, many years ago - will the fic still make sense, do you think?

I think most of it will still make sense. The story begins after Ocean's 12 and runs through 13 so if you don't want to be spoiled, you might want to watch the movies first. But it's mostly about Turk striking out on his own so I think you can enjoy it either way!
