What is this 'work' thing you keep telling me about?

Wow, this holiday just flew past! Back to work again on Monday. And I have to work three full days before Epiphany day! However will I manage?

So today I'm making chicken moussaka and watching Moonlight which is hilariously bad, but I endure because of the occasional smirk from Alex O'Loughlin.

A question I have been pondering: (not that I'm planning new fic or anything...) Which football team is Steve McGarrett likely to hate? The whole American football thing is a complete mystery to me but I understand it's a big deal in the US. (Hey, I'm Swedish. This is hockey-land. And even that is a mystery to me.)

It's pretty much a mystery to me as well, though I would hazard a guess that whatever team he *favors*, he'd hate that team's main rival (though with all the teams and leagues, that's not as easy to identify either).

D is a huge soccer fan (aka 'football' in the rest of the world). The team closest to you when you grew up is usually *your* team, come hell, high water, or an abysmal losing streak. As someone who appears to have grown up in Hawaii, I would try to figure out the main teams there, if that helps...

Oh, also, a lot of people in the US seem to be fixated on *college* teams rather than proteams. Probably because the pro-franchises often move and change names when they get bought and sold.

Other than that, football is nearly mathematics to me. ;-)

Ah, the college team thing helps, thanks! The University of Hawaii has a team so now I have somewhere to start :)

I have absolutely no interest in sports so it all seems very complicated to me, especially a sport that barely exists in my country. It's all hockey and football (the soccer kind, that is...) over here, and skiing of course. But the only thing I can bear to watch is curling :)

Glad to be of help. Not a sports fan myself, though I am learning to appreciate soccer and football a little bit because of D. :-)

My problem with soccer is I can never *see* what the play is--it always looks so disorganized to me!
