Writing woes

My brain apparently thinks that talkative guys are interchangeable because I'm attempting to write H50 fic and every word out of Danno's mouth sounds like it's coming from Rodney. I might have to rewatch all the episodes again. Strictly for research purposes, of course.

Heh - maybe that's why I need to do, too - to help fix the voices in my head.

I don't mean I have voices in my head... well, I do... You know what I mean - fix in terms of characterisation. ;)

It feels like it's going to take some time to get the voices right. I think Rodney is more prone to whining than Danno is but that's all I have so far.

I can see Rodney and Danny either immediately hating each other's guts or bonding over the various crazy antics of their boyfriends. I'm also convinced that John and Steve must have crossed paths at least once in the past, probably doing something highly classified.

I can sympathize with you on this--I just finished a SH/SGA crossover and now all my characters speak as though they were in Victorian England. Very distressing, to be sure! ;-)
