1. I'm alive. Sorry for dropping out of internet existence. In short - my joints hate me, and we've had a wasp invasion bad enough that you can expect a Deluxe edition of Stupid Customer of the Day soon.

1,25. So, so, so sorry for missing all those birthdays and not bearing gifts. Happy belated birthday wishes to sgamadison, anyanka_eg and winter_elf! I'll try to make it up to you.

1,5. I have a wrist brace and a bottle of anti-inflammatories and I'm not really supposed to do any typing for a while (yeah, good luck with that...) so I'm probably going to be verrrrry slow to respond to things. Please bear with me for a little bit.

2. Fandom.... Leverage: Could Hardison and Parker be any cuter? White Collar: Yay for Diana! Psych: Still awesome. Also, I went to see the A-team movie which was entertaining enough but also made me want to check out the tv-show. Not disappointed :) I think I have a new love.



3. I've been surfing kinkmemes and posting anonymous fills, just as a way to try to get myself writing again. These are the ones I'm willing to accept responsibility for. As a sidenote - when I'm in pain, I tend to write a lot of h/c, so all of these little ficlets fall into that genre.

To This Day (SGA, Ronon, gen) After a few years of being a Runner, he pretty much stopped feeling any desire for sex. He's still not ready to try having sex with somebody else, but he's starting to explore what his body wants again on his own. (Turned out to be not just about sex but more about life. Whatever. I like writing Ronon and I hope I did him justice.)

Fear of Flying (A-team movieverse, BA, pretty much gen) This is a pretty PG request, but after seeing how Face comforted B.A. after he almost fell out of the helicopter, I really want a fic where B.A. has to fly without the help of sedatives, and Face comforts him. Lots of stroking his face and sweet nothings whispered would be great!

Untitled (A-team movieverse, Face and Hannibal, could be either gen or slash depending on how you read it...) Another h/c request (of course) and my fave pairing Hannibal/Face. I love protective Hannibal taking care of Face. But how about flipping it?? Let's see Face take care of Hannibal. Any takers??!

Life Raft to Sweden (A-team tv-verse, Murdock and Face, friendship) Face/Murdock. Face gets taken during a mission and disappears, coming (mysteriously) back a week later, beaten and exhausted. cue Murdock breaking himself out of the hospital when he hears the news and then absolutely refusing to leave Face's side, even for a couple seconds. bonus points for snuggling and Murdock feeling intense guilt (you know: "I should have been paying more attention", "it should have been me instead"). (obviously, this would be for the show and not the film). (I kind of like this one even if it's pretty much just self-indulgent h/c sprinkled with literary references...)

Oh dear! Do, do try to rest your joints (especially wrists & hands!) as much as you can, when you can. You have to give the anti-inflammatory drugs a chance to catch up to the irritation-already-done or they don't work -- really. You know that, I'm just mother-henning because I can't do anything practical to help. :-(

Have you tried MSM tablets? My mum swears by them and they have helped me when I've been suffering with my joints, but then I think yours are way more fucked up than me. Might be worth a shot, even if they only take the edge off a little it's better than a poke in the eye, as they say in the UK. You should be able to get them in a health food store.

EDIT: Also, thanks for the birthday wishes. Should have been the first thing to say but got carried away with the MSM.

I eat fish oil and it seems to be helping a bit, but I haven't tried MSM yet. Definitely sounds worth checking out! I'll see what I can do about a proper birthday prezzie when my wrists clear up a bit. I seem to remember owing you some EP porn...
