I spent the evening watching Stonehenge Apocalypse, the SyFy TV-movie with Misha Collins, Torri Higginson and Peter Wingfield. It was.... indescribable.

Jennyh is watching a really awful film.

Stonehenge moves around and makes pyramids explode. I wonder what will happen next? At least Misha Collins is nice to look at.

Jennyh
Oh, there also seems to be a fanatic cult involved. This just gets better and better!

Jennyh
And a secret buried pyramid that suddenly rises from the ground. In *Maine*. Wut?

Jennyh
Misha Collins just took off his belt! If only he could take off the rest of his clothes too, this film would be a lot better.

Jennyh
Car chase! In military jeeps! On the Salisbury Plain!

Jennyh
No, they shot Misha Collins in the leg! He'd better take off his pants so he can put on a band-aid or something.

Jennyh
Well, that was an hour and twenty-six minutes I'll never get back. Thank you, SyFy!

I think it speaks for itself, don't you? Ah, well. At least Misha was pretty.

ETA: Also, I want crackfic where Castiel, Elizabeth Weir and Methos has to team up to save the world.

I think this commentary was enough. I don't feel the need to watch this movie. XD Especially since it seems to lack naked Misha...

Naked Misha would have been nice :) At least there was a lot to laugh at!

Hey, it's a crime to keep him so covered up all the time! The world deserves naked Misha!

I love the updates. I wish you were on Twitter and not facebook so I could follow in real time :-)

Has to be said I'm looking forward to it. It sounds like the sort of movie that Myster Science Theatre 3000 used to rip apart. Can't wait.

I've been thinking about getting a Twitter just so I could follow David Hewlett and Misha but I barely update the social network thingies I have so... maybe some other time.

It's the kind of movie where you keep going, "What? What?" and then laughing hysterically because it's better than crying.

Have you ever watched any Mystery Science Theatre 3000 episodes? If not, do as I think you'll love it, at least the bits where they mock the movies. The other bits of the show are sometimes hit and miss.

One of the best eps is using a film called Terror from the year 5000, which is brilliantly aweful without the genius of MST3K mocking it. Try to find a copy and have a laugh. The effects seemed to have some free with a pack of cereal...actually they might be the cereal in the case of the 'terror's' make-up.

This cracked me up! Syfy does produce some crappy movies, don't they? But your commentary here is perfect. :-)

I have seen many awful movies in my time, but this one has to be among the worst. Makes me wonder how they managed to bribe the actors to appear in it...

My favourite line: “The only thing we know for sure is that Stonehenge is a terraforming device left here by beings from another time!”

LOL. well, we MST3K'd it as it was showing (3 of us), making bets on the crazy, who was the mole and cheering the explosions :) Hey, I clapped when they exploded the helicopter. Yes, it was brainless, but it had no gore and funky science and explosions.

I actually kind of hoped that he'd be one of those cool nerds, kind of like Greg in CSI or Eric in NCIS:LA. Then he started shooting people....

Yeah, he did remind me of Eric at first.

I choose to believe that the whole thing is RepliWeir's VR fantasy.

Well yeah. The robots have fried her brain and now she almost thinks she's Rodney, or Sam Carter, or something.

(Torri's faux-British accent was really ~speshul)

Will save this for some future meeting of our little neighborhood group which shows the "Saturday Night Craptacular." There are so many, many films to choose from already, but Syfy just keeps crankin' 'em out.... ;-D

That sounds like an excellent idea! It's a small wonder how many truly terrible films are produced.
