And on that note - I wish I wasn't allergic to pineapple. (It's pretty annoying. Why can't I be allergic to something I hate, like nuts? Noooo, I have to be allergic to delicious fresh pineapple. Ah, well. At least it's not something really inconvenient like gluten or lactose.)

At home the Hewlett's quite often had pineapple which David's allergic to, thus could never eat at home because his mouth used to swell up. On his first night in his apartment though, he decided to treat himself and bought a whole pineapple. This time however, not only did his mouth swell up, but his throat did too! He managed to call his dad and got admitted to hospital, so his first night of independence and adulthood went really well."
