I was looking at old entries and realised that I missed my fandom birthday! I made my first public post in this journal on July 23:rd, 2007. That's over two years ago! (Yes, yes, I know I'm a fandom baby...) That post was the Teyla-centered story Balance, the first thing I wrote for SGA. I think I've grown a bit as a writer since then, but I still have a certain fondness for that particular story...
It made me think of how much I love fandom and the people in it. During these two years, I have formed so many friendships and met so many amazing and kind and talented people, and I will never regret my decision to stop lurking and take an active part in fandom in general and Stargate:Atlantis fandom in particular.
I guess what I really want to say is THANK YOU - Thank you for all the encouragement and support and love. Thank you for every comment on every story I have ever written - I cherish them all and go back and read them again whenever I feel down or have doubts about my writing. Thank you for all the discussions, for listening to my arguments and taking the time to explain yours. Thank you for being there for me when I need it. Thank you for hugs and squishes and squees, thank you for caring about me and wishing me well, thank you for making me stay up way past my bedtime to write commentporn, thank you for all the prompts and challenges. Thank you for fleece, thank you for hot, hot porn, thank you for taking the shows I love and turning them into so much more, for giving them depth and substance. Thank you for letting me be a part of this community.
Thank you to my almighty f-list, who always comes through when I need help. Thank you to my betas and everyone who have helped me with my stories. First and foremost, I want to thank
