I get off work in ten minutes and I'm boooored.

Here, have a Stupid Customer of the Day!

Me: Welcome to (extermination company)!

Customer: Hi, I've got a huge sewer rat in my house, can you help me?

Me: Sure, I need some contact details and your insurance information, please.

Customers: What will you be doing when you come? I've tried catching it but...

Me: What have you been doing so far then? (I expect a answer like 'I set a trap' or 'I stood on a chair and flailed for a while')

Customer: I tried to shoot it.

Me: You did what?

Customer: Well, I have this old shotgun, so I went down into the cellar and tried to kill it, but it ran away.

Me: (A little scared) Um... all right...

Customer: So, how soon can you have someone over?

Me: If you put the gun away, I'll send a technician right away.

Some people make you wonder...

That's Brilliant! I really hope you said the last bit to the customer.

I had a stupid customer on the phone the other day who spent 15 minutes asking me the price of a game, over and over and then asking whether I was deifinitely sure - fortunately, no shotguns involved, or I might have been tempted to use it on myself.

Is there an LJ for stories of crazy customers, do you think? Hmmm...

I don't know if there's an LJ but there is Not Always Right - a blog dedicated to the stupidness of customers. It's what I entertain myself with when I'm bored at work :D
