State of the Zin + music post

This is a good day :)

* The sun is shining, the snow is finally beginning to melt away and there is a whisper of spring in the air. Not even my rude customers will be able to wipe the smile off my face today :D

* I have next to no free time this week due to choir practice, choreography practice and stage decorations and it's all worth it because our concert this weekend will be utterly awesome.

* Alex O'Loughlin is ridiculous. All is well with the world.

* I had a great dream tonight. I don't remember all the details, but I was a reporter and I got to meet one of my favourite artists (don't remember who, might have been either Regina Spektor or Ani DiFranco) and ask her about her three favourite songs from the past century. Unfortunately, my alarm went off just as she was about to answer, but I woke up in a very good mood.

Just because I'm curious - I know it's often subject to change but right now in this moment, which are your three favourite songs in the world? Songs that make you happy, songs that you can listen to ten times in a row without getting tired of them, songs that automatically pop up in your head when someone asks you about your favourite music? Please share!

Because who hasn't wanted to do this before getting into a new relationship? Plus, Mimikry, one of my favourite bands in the world, made a fantastic cover in Swedish.

Because it makes me very happy and the singer has an amazing 'stache. Plus, I get to see them live again in Stockholm this summer!

Because these guys got me interested in Bluegrass. Plus, I love the name of the band and the violinist is great.

\O/ I made it work :D I have A LOT of favorite songs...Music is very important to me and I have different favorite songs for different occasions. This is what popped up in my head today :)

And yes, I have different songs for different occasions too. I have party playlists and work-out playlists and writing playlists... My sister is worse though. She has a Spotify playlist called: 'Doing crossword puzzles while crying.'

LOL I must admit I really, really enjoyed listening to Mysterious Ways when I got divorced. There's a line in there "On your knees, boy" that I enjoyed. I was probably in touch with my inner dominatrix...LOL

Ha! It's funny with some songs, how one line can stand out like that. I remember when I was the most depressed and I used to listen to Marit Bergman's Shame on Me just for the one line "No matter what you think, you'll always be at least OK".

I was going to say Elden by Winnerbäck. I can seriously listen to it over and over and over again. XD I have so many favorite songs of his... XD

This is a Swedish themed favorite three songs. Which is kind of pointless because it's not like you haven't heard of them. But I latched onto "songs that make you happy" and while I have songs from all over the place that makes me happy I associate happy making songs with Swedish artists and bands. I don't know why. XD



I have the biggest girl crush on Marit Bergman. She is amazing. ♥_♥
Also, this video makes me smile.




The Theme was going to be Swedish artists... But what the hell. Now I need to find a third awesome girl...



Oh, look I found this! I kind of lost this song and forgot who made it, and also the name of it... XD This is what happens far to often for me. I fall in love with a song I hear once or twice and then I can never find it again because I suck at remembering such things as song titles and nams of artists.

Marit is fantastic and she seems like such a nice person! I'd like to take her out for coffee and just sit and talk for hours :) The same goes for Miss Li (who is also from Borlänge, so there's another reason for me to like her...)

And a big YES to Elden. I never get tired of it! You have good taste in music :D

Thank you! This is not the Marie Bergman I used to listen to. My sister really loved her, so I grew up on songs like Ingen kommer undan politiken :)

And I just read the title a bit better and realized it said Marit Bergman...*headdesk*
