Quick question - has Steve ever been referred to as 'princess' in canon or is that a fanon thing?


I seem to have roughly four thousand words of something that started out as a cute fluffy Danny-moves-in ficlet and then grew plot and angst and probably needs another couple of thousand words before it can be described as a story. Feelings are very complicated, apparently.


And just because I can:

"Babe, I know that you think you're Superman, and I hate to break this to you, but you're not actually capable of unpowered flight, okay? Please stop flapping your arms, you're embarrassing me. You can leave the shirt off, by the way."

Opening the trunk to grab the SEAL gear he keeps handy in Danny's car, I think *g* I just think it's more hilarious to imagine that he's trying to learn how to fly! (I've heard that the trick is to throw yourself to the ground and miss...)

It does sound like something Danny would call people, I'm just not sure if he ever did. I think going to have to watch the episode again when I get home.

He must have been referred to as princess in canon. At least it feels familiar. And it's not like I've read a lot of fics in the fandom to have confused canon with fanon.

But if he closes his eyes and wishes really hard then maybe, just maybe he will eventually be able to fly? Can't hurt to try. ;p

I think the word must have been used at least, and it must have been Danny who said it. Research (i.e. rewatching of eps) needs to be done!

It's Steve! If he puts his mind to it, I'm sure he will succeed, out of pure hard-headedness if nothing else *g*

(And Danny will run around on the ground and wave his arms and yell, "Stop that, it is not possible for you to do that, do you hear me? Stop violating the laws of physics!"

Just checked ep 2. About 14 & a half mins in - the scene with the injured kidnapper on the roof. Danny is spraying him with the hosepipe to wake up.
Danny: Nice nap, Princess?

(Of course, you'll probably want to watch the ep again yourself - just to make sure... *g*)

It's beginning to feel like the more I write on this thing, the more will I need to add for it to make sense. It seems like Danny is just as emotionally damaged as Steve...

Plus, on a whim, I sat down and wrote a meta ficlet about Danny and his conscience that I'm pretty sure no one is going to want to read. Maybe I'll hold off on posting it until the times are a little happier :)

I've been meaning to watch all the episodes again before the show comes back next week, but then I somehow aqcuired a Lie to Me addiction. Maybe I'll just watch my favourite parts. Which is pretty much any time they ride in the car together *g*

Danny's life is very hard. There are absolutely no silver linings. Not even the frequent shirtlessness of his partner. Nope, absolutely not.

Thank you, that would be wonderful! There's quite a bit of work left on it though, so it'll probably be a while before it's finished.

Maybe I'll post the meta thing later, after I've polished it up a bit. Right now it's time for "research"! *g*
