From where they are now, no. But if the Plan goes terribly wrong and Sam ends up being Lucifer's meatpuppet, it still could happen. It's right that Adam wasn't part of that scenario, but on the other hand he was never supposed to be Michael's vessel in the first place. Just like Nick, he's the plan B and Michael might affect his body the same way Lucifer is affecting Nick's.
Ah well. All I know is that as soon as I hear the word 'Detroit', I will start shouting at the screen for the boys to not go there.
