The Skiffy Awards!

My horoscope said something good would happen to me today and it looks like it was right for once. The little Ronon-snippet I wrote for sga_flashfic's Wordless challenge has been nomineed for the Skiffy Awards!
This was a great big surprise for me, and I'm very very flattered, so to whoever nominated me: Thank you!!!!

Of course, I'm competing with such wonderful authors as liketheriverrun and kodiak_bear, among others, so I doubt I'll win anything, especially since I haven't been active in the fandom that long. But if anyone would like to vote for me, all you have to do is register at the forum on the Skiffy Awards site.

To be honest, I'm in the middle of a big 25-year-old crisis. Feels like people my age should have families of their own instead of living in their grandmother's spare room... But I get cake out of the deal so, yay!

Oh - do *not* have a crisis - honestly, no need!! When I was 25 I was living in very crummy university halls, struggling to survive on a research studentship, trying not to beat my flatmates to death with their dirty dishes, and looking for the energy and will to finish my PhD.... Ugh!

(Hmmm, now three years on I'm living in a *tiny* flat in Dublin, but at least I only have to share with one other person, and I can yell at him to do the washing up!!)

Things will definitely improve!!

Also - cake! Always a good thing.

I console myself with the knowledge that no matter how old I get I'll always be twelve at heart...
At least I have the boys to distract me. I finally have a title for The Sequel so I hope it'll be easier to write now. I've had urges to grab their thick heads and knock them together...

Ugh, it's cold and wet in Dublin at the moment... But I guess not as cold as it is in Sweden!

Oh, and I meant to tell you, I got inordinately pleased with myself this weekend 'cause I managed to put an equation in my current story! An actual real *equation*! I looked it up on the internet and everything. My husband thinks I'm very odd... but then he was nice enough to give me the solution to it... *pats him*
