Seriously, if you live in Sweden, you must see Män som hatar kvinnor. There are no excuses not to. For non-Swedes - the English title is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and the movie is based on the novel by Stieg Larsson. Read the book, then see the movie. And when you're done, you can go on with the rest of the Millenium Trilogy.

I think I'm in love with Noomi Rapace.

Everyone keeps saying that and I'm sure they are but the first couple of pages where so boring I just gave up.

Were they? Hm... well, maybe they're a little slow in the beginning. But seriously, they aren't just crime stories, it's social commentary on a level that's very rare in this genre. Plus, I have never before seen a 50-something man write a 24-year-old sub-culture woman and not turn her into a stereotype.

They sound so good it's really annoying that I couldn't get into it. But then right now I have a hard time making myself read anything that isn't a fanfic... I really should start working on my reading habits.

Heh, I know the feeling. I keep having to remind myself that I'm not at uni anymore and therefore have the time to read for fun. I still feel vaguely guilty when I sit down with a novel instead of an article on the environmental impact of peat harvesting or something interesting like that ;)
