Yeah, I'm pretty sensitive to heat myself so I have some experience with heat exhaustion. It's not fun at all! I hope you're feeling better now *hugs*

I actually based John's sunburn on the one I managed to give myself years ago when I was in school and my class went skiing in the mountains for a weekend. It was sunny and I had completely forgotten how much more the sun takes when you're surrounded by nothing but brilliantly white snow for miles and miles. I also hadn't thought to bring sunscreen. By the time we got home, I had second degree burns on my cheeks! (Then, being the vain eighteen year old that I was, I tried to cover up the damage with make up in order to show my face in school and managed to make it even worse. Oh, the stupid things we do in youth...)
