Um... that shame of mine? Yep, I still own it!

I have been following [livejournal.com profile] sherlockkink with equal parts fascination and horror (that prompt with the violin bow? I used to play the violin and I can only say OWW!). But of course I could not stay away, and of course I could not stop myself from inflicting some pain. I don't know what it is with me and trying out new fandoms, I always seem to end up hurting someone.

So, without further ado, a little Holmes h/c: Stricken. 900 words and written as gen friendship, but I guess you can interpret it as slash if you squint, which you are of course welcome to do if you happen to be so inclined.

And now I will go and write the story I was supposed to write today.

\o/ Thank you! I spent more time than I want to think about finding the Watson voice :) A victorian gentleman I am not...
I'm re-reading canon again and I also managed to find the tv-series with Jeremy Brett so I'm having a lot of Holmesian fun right now. Whee!

JB is considered the definitive Holmes and his Watson was one of the better attempts at not making Watson an idiot. But OMG, you *nailed* Watson's writing style there and I am in AWE of you.

You might like the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes novels by Laurie B King as well. Watson sadly takes a back seat to MR, but she makes an interesting and fun addition to the fiction out there and she and Holmes make a good team. Well-researched and other literary characters make cameos as well.

:-)

*basks in the awe*
I remember watching the tv series when I was a kid, it's very entertaining to revisit :)

I will put those books on my (already far too long) reading list!
