Eeeeee!!!!!!

I can't tell you how nervous I was about the season premiere, but I shouldn't have been. They fixed almost everything! I sat through the entire episode squeeing loudly at the screen!

Reasons for happiness:

- Chiiiiin! With the pickpocketing and the shotgun and the everything!

- Steve's smile!

- Danny's lack of tie!

- Terry O'Quinn!

- Kono continues to be the awesomest thing that ever awesomed!

- Kamekona deserves so much love!

- The new governor setting his foot down about the 'full immunity and means' thing! That always bothered me so much.

- Every word out of Max' mouth! Plus, Max' car and Max' keychain.

- Rachel moving back to Hawaii and getting back together with Stan! (Soooo much better than having it be Danny's baby, even if I feel very sorry for the poor man. He's going to need a lot of comfort from his friends.)

- Steve's beard! (Apparently, I have a thing for facial hair.)

However:

- I want to know Governor Jameson's motivations for working with Wo Fat. She was brilliant, I loved her, and I'm not going to simply take 'she was evil all along' for an answer.

- Please, Show, don't let Jenna be one of the bad guys! I adore her! But she's probably going undercover with Wo Fat's organisation to take him down all on her own and she'll end up being a hero and save the day. Right. Right?

- What happened to Sang Min?

- Where is Mary through all this? Okay, I get that Steve wants to protect her, but seriously, did no one tell her that her brother's in prison for murder? They could at least have acknowledged her existence.

You're a stronger person than I am! But I must admit that for this one, it would have been a relief not to have to wait all summer for the conclusion. It's possible I'm a little too emotionally invested in this show...

I think that kind of fortitude only works if you are NOT deeply invested in the show! I couldn't imagine waiting for say, SGA, or Castle! I do have a wait a long time for some of my shows though. D records them for me and I don't get to watch them for months sometimes.

I'm checking out a couple of new shows (such as Forgotten, and that CLoser spinoff) but part of me doesn't *want* to find any new Must Sees. I just don't have the time!

BTW--have been giving DragonNaturallySpeaking a test run, and though there is a learning curve and some weird things I can't figure out just yet, it is pretty awesome. :-)

I really don't need any more new shows either. I barely have time to keep up with the ones I have as it is, and if I decide to take that big scary leap and start studying again in the spring, I'll have next to no free time at all :( TV vs. wise career choices - I really need to get my priorities straight.

I found Dragon pretty useful, but what I find most difficult is the fact that it seems to be meant for native English speakers and sometimes it just refuses to recognise my accent. I'm still trying to make sense of it though!

Ah, that makes sense. One of the things it asks during set up is to select your most likely regional accent.I've just started playing around with it and there are weird little things I haven't figured out yet. I have a feeling, like any other program, the more I use it the easier it will get. *fingers crossed*
