I finally got to see Captain America last night. The American film industry hates Sweden and doesn't want us to get to see any movies. (According to my guy, it's the Russians' fault for releasing so many cams, but I couldn't really follow his logic...)

I'll keep it spoiler-free by just saying that it I enjoyed it and that there were many nice shots of Chris Evans' bare chest and that I wish there had been more screen time for the Howling Commandos (Neal McDonough as Dum Dum Dugan, need I say more?). I haven't read the comics, just The Avengers, so I don't really have a personal relationship with the character (except for how much I ship him with Iron Man. Really, they should just get married right now. 'Cause, you know, Steve is a nice wholesome boy and wouldn't want to live in sin. Even if Tony definitely would want to. A lot of sin.) Now I can't wait for The Avengers movie next year!

Now for my issues about 3D... )

Took Sister #1 to see Inception. Greatly recommended! Damn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is all grown up and pretty. (And since he's one year older than me, does that mean I'm grown up and pretty too?) Also, bonus points for doing clever things with the score.

I spent the evening watching Stonehenge Apocalypse, the SyFy TV-movie with Misha Collins, Torri Higginson and Peter Wingfield. It was.... indescribable.

Review by way of Facebook status updates (including spoilers and mockery; last name withheld to protect the not-so-innocent) )

* [livejournal.com profile] holmes_big_bang status report: 8k. Plot pretty much figured out. I have no illusions about the quality of the writing but hey, at least I'm writing! That's a good thing, right?

* I seem to be on a films-based-on-comic-books roll. Saw The Losers yesterday after mainlining the comics. The comic made more sense plot-wise than the film, but at least the film did not break my heart at the end. The characters are awesome in both comic and film. Cougar and Jensen and Aisha all own my heart.

* It's been a weird week, emotion-wise. I've been going around feeling guilty for no reason at all. I have nothing to feel guilty about! Even if I had, I would grab that feeling by the scruff of the neck and kick it out of the door, because my life? Guilt free zone! But to do that, I need to know the source of the guilt so I can just tell myself that it's really nothing to worry about in the long run. Whatever.

* The Mentalist is beginning to bore me. Castle still holds my interest. I cannot wait for Psych and Leverage to start up again.

* Aaaaaand I have watched Supernatural again. Spoilers up to 5x21 )

1. Friday afternoon conversation at work:

Zin: Oh, look! I want bedsheets with ponies.
K: No, you want bedsheets with zombies.
Zin: There are bedsheets with zombies? Give me!

My co-workers know me so well...

2. Mum's birthday tomorrow. She wished for a party, which means she'll get a party. I will do my best not to end up in the kitchen as usual. Whee!

3. Went to see Sherlock Holmes again this evening. Spoilers behind the cut. )

1. Today, I celebrate the one-year anniversary of my escape from the Dungeon of Doom. *dances happy dance of freedom* That wraith-like place completely sucked away my will to live. At least I learned one thing: Huge multinational callcenters bad, Small Mr&Mrs Boss-owned callcenters good. *loves Mr&Mrs Boss, even though they're going to Greece in a week, leaving the company in my trembling and terrified hands*

2. Yes, Star Trek is, in fact, AWESOME )

1. Effective yesterday on May 1, we have a gender neutral marriage law in Sweden. I say YES.

2. I just saw the Wolverine movie, and once again I say YES.

Zin is too tired for thoughtful commentary... )
