I'm sitting at work and we don't have anything better to do than watch youtube videos of drunk people falling down, so I might as well do this instead.

So, [livejournal.com profile] sgamadison asked me why I like Suits and I had to do some thinking. I usually hate lawyer shows, but for some reason, this one caught my interest. (I swear, it's not only because of the pretty people and the snark.)

Usually, the best way to make me like a show is to have the the characters be likeable. They don't have to be saints or anything, but I want them to at least be good guys. In Suits... they aren't. More often than not, I'd like to smack them with a spoon until they start behaving. And for some strange reason, I like it. No one is exclusively good or bad.

Cut for pimping, spoilers and pretty people. )

Yay!

This is a good day :)

* The sun is shining, the snow is finally beginning to melt away and there is a whisper of spring in the air. Not even my rude customers will be able to wipe the smile off my face today :D

* I have next to no free time this week due to choir practice, choreography practice and stage decorations and it's all worth it because our concert this weekend will be utterly awesome.

* Alex O'Loughlin is ridiculous. All is well with the world.
Photobucket
(cropped, cause the original pic might possibly be triggering for abuse even if it's just make-up.)

* I had a great dream tonight. I don't remember all the details, but I was a reporter and I got to meet one of my favourite artists (don't remember who, might have been either Regina Spektor or Ani DiFranco) and ask her about her three favourite songs from the past century. Unfortunately, my alarm went off just as she was about to answer, but I woke up in a very good mood.

Just because I'm curious - I know it's often subject to change but right now in this moment, which are your three favourite songs in the world? Songs that make you happy, songs that you can listen to ten times in a row without getting tired of them, songs that automatically pop up in your head when someone asks you about your favourite music? Please share!

These are my happymaking songs of the day... )

The Break-Even Point by [livejournal.com profile] faye_dartmouth. I don't usually read crossovers, but this one sucked me in from the first paragraph. It's Ocean's 11 and pre-H50 and the story of how Turk Malloy became Danny Williams and it works even though it shouldn't.

Tell the truth (but tell it slant) by [livejournal.com profile] moogsthewriter. A sequel to the first story, in which Danny has to be Turk again for a little while to fix the problem with the missing money.

Pimping!

[livejournal.com profile] sgamadison's latest original story is up for sale! Go, buy, enjoy!

* We might be the only people in Sweden who are working today. During the past two hours, I have answered 19 calls. An average call is forty seconds. Do the math. Any good ideas for how to keep myself entertained until five o'clock?

* Spoil me for the Supernatural finale and be instantly defriended. I have never been more serious.

* I got an AO3 account and am in the process of backing up my stories. How much energy I will have to maintain it remains to be seen. I like the tagging system!

* For a lovely smutty character study of Sam Hanna and G Callen from NCIS:Los Angeles, allow me to recommend A Greater Compliment by [livejournal.com profile] anyanka_eg.

I've been a NCIS fan for a long long time, but I didn't get around to watching NCIS: Los Angeles until last week. It's ridiculous and cheesy and completely hits all my buttons! Outlandish plots! Manpain! Awesome, gorgeous girls! Male leads who are completely and utterly gay for each other!

Spoilers under the cut...
I think I'm in love! )

Ooookay, so, here's that other show I've fallen madly in love with lately. I say show, but it's actually a series of movies based on the novels by author Richard Stevenson.

Don Strachey is an Albany P.I. and the movies are in the classic noir detective story style, which I love.

What, I need a reason to post pictures of pretty boys madly in love with each other? )

I have fallen in love with two new series lately. One of them is The Mentalist - a police procedural about a former fake psychic who fights crime.

I'd like to introduce you to some people... (spoiler warning) )
